William J. Markmann, M.D.

Dr. William J. Markmann is a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon with over 30 years of practice experience providing patients with high-quality care for a wide range of conditions at Orthopaedic Surgery & Rehabilitation Associates, P.C. Dr. Markmann has been recognized by the Consumer's Research Council of America as a "Top Surgeon" and "Top Orthopaedist" in recent years.

Currently, Dr. Markmann holds hospital appointments at Jeanes Hospital and Holy Redeemer Hospital and Medical Center, where he previously served as President of the medical staff and a member of the Board of Trustees. Dr. Markmann also holds consultant positions at Philadelphia Protestant Home, St. Joseph's Manor and Lafayette Nursing Home.

Dr. Markmann graduated with his medical degree from Temple University Medical School, before completing a surgical internship at Geisinger Medical Center and Orthopaedic residency training at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, where he served as Chief Resident during his final year.

Actively involved in the medical and local communities, Dr. Markmann is a member of several professional organizations, including:

  • American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgery
  • Pennsylvania Orthopaedic Society
  • Philadelphia Orthopaedic Society
  • Jefferson Orthopaedic Society
  • Pennsylvania Medical Society

He has also served administrative positions within several of these organizations, including as past President of the Philadelphia Orthopaedic Society and previously on the Executive Committee of the Pennsylvania Orthopaedic Society. Dr. Markmann remains active at his alma mater. He served as a member of the Board of Trustees of LaSalle College High School. He is presently a member of LaSalle University's Board of Trustees and is a prior recipient of LaSalle's Holroyd Award and The Leadership Award.

Dr. Markmann's dedication to the field of orthopaedic surgery is evident through the countless continuing medical education courses he has taken over the years to remain abreast of the most recent developments.

 

William C. Hamilton, M.D.

Certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery, Dr. William C. Hamilton is a highly skilled orthopaedic surgeon with over 30 years of experience.

Dr. Hamilton received his medical degree from Jefferson Medical College, where he was a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society, and completed his internship and residency training in Orthopaedic Surgery at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital.

Upon completion of his training, Dr. Hamilton served as a Major in the US Army. He also holds an MBA from Temple University.

Dr. Hamilton is involved with several professional organizations, including:

  • Jefferson Orthopaedic Society
  • Pennsylvania Medical Society
  • Pennsylvania Orthopaedic Society
  • Philadelphia Orthopaedic Society

He has previously served as the President and Program Chairman of the Jefferson Orthopaedic Society, as well as the Program Chairman and Director-at-Large of the Pennsylvania Orthopaedic Society. He has served on several educational committees of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons.

Dr. Hamilton has authored several publications, papers, and exhibits. He continues to attend regular meetings to further his knowledge and provide the highest quality of care to patients.
