Ellen C. Maitin, M.D.
Dr. Ellen C. Maitin is an orthopaedic surgeon with over 31 years of experience providing patients with state-of-the-art care for a wide range of orthopaedic conditions. She holds current hospital appointments at Jeanes Hospital and Holy Redeemer Hospital.
Dr. Maitin graduated with her medical degree from the State University of New York at Stony Brook, and completed an internship at the University of Iowa. She then did her orthopaedic residency training at the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Maitin further specialized her knowledge by completing a fellowship in Hand Surgery at the University of Pennsylvania as well.
After completing her training, Dr. Maitin held several academic appointments, including Assistant Professor of Orthopaedics and Chief of Hand Surgery Service at the Medical College of Pennsylvania. She remains actively involved in the medical community and is a member of several professional organizations, including:
- Pennsylvania Orthopaedic Society
- Philadelphia Orthopaedic Society
- The Orthopaedic Research Society
Her work has appeared in publications, posters and presentations throughout her orthopaedic training and practice experience.
